La Ville de Grand-Sault est fière d’annoncer la nomination de Marie-Pier Picard au poste de chef adjointe de la force policière de Grand-Sault.
Marie-Pier détient un baccalauréat en administration des affaires ainsi que deux maîtrises en administration des affaires, soit une en management et une deuxième en matière de santé et sécurité au travail. Elle détient également un diplôme de programme de sciences policières, et devient ainsi la nouvelle chef adjointe de la force policière de la ville de Grand-Sault. Sa personnalité axée sur l’atteinte de résultats, sa forte éthique de travail, combinées avec sa diversité d’expériences avec les règlements provinciaux et fédéraux font d’elle la candidate idéale pour ce poste.
Le directeur général par intérim de la municipalité, monsieur Éric Gagnon se dit ravi par l’embauche de madame Picard à titre de chef adjointe au sein de notre force policière. ‘Marie-Pier est une personne axée sur des résultats et je crois que son expérience de travail et son éducation apporteront une autre dimension à la force policière de Grand-Sault’.
Pour sa part, la chef de police dit ‘C’est un grand plaisir pour mes collègues et moi de souhaiter la bienvenue à Marie-Pier Picard parmi l’équipe de la force policière de Grand-Sault à titre de chef adjointe. Nous lui souhaitons bon succès et sommes certains qu’avec ses connaissances et compétences Marie-Pier pourra grandement contribuer à la force policière afin d’atteindre de nouveaux sommets. ’
La Ville de Grand-Sault passe également à l’histoire en ayant deux femmes à la direction de sa force policière comme chef et chef adjointe.

The Town of Grand Falls is proud to announce the appointment of Marie-Pier Picard as Deputy Chief of the Grand Falls Police Department.
Marie-Pier holds a bachelor's degree in business administration, a master's degree in business administration - management, as well as a master's degree in business administration - occupational health and safety. She also has a police science program diploma and becomes the new Deputy Chief of the Grand Falls Police Force. Marie-Pier's goal-oriented personality, strong work ethic, combined with her diversity of experiences with provincial and federal laws and regulations make her the ideal candidate for this position.
The Town’s interim general manager, Éric Gagnon, says he is delighted by the hiring of Ms. Picard as Deputy Chief for the Town’s Police Force and states that "Marie-Pier is a results-oriented person and I believe her work experience and education will bring another dimension to the Grand Falls Police Force."
For her part, the Chief of Police says that ‘it is with great pleasure that my colleagues and I welcome Marie-Pier Picard to the Grand Falls Police Force team as Deputy Chief. We wish her much success and are certain that with her knowledge and skills, Marie-Pier will be able to greatly contribute to the Police Force in order to reach new heights.’
The Town of Grand Falls also makes history by having two women at the head of its Police Force as Chief and Deputy Chief.
